All staff are entitled to 30 days annual leave per annum plus 10.5 public and privilege days (pro rata for part-time staff). Staff have access to paid and unpaid special leave to assist with unforeseen domestic events and medical appointments.

A reasonably priced staff restaurant (Keyworth and Wallingford), provides cooked meals and snacks.

All staff are eligible to join the national Civil Service Sports and Social Club. The club organises national and local sporting and social events and gives members various discount options including cut-price cinema tickets.

Members of the Keyworth sports and social club can use the club’s outdoor tennis courts and indoor sports centre for badminton, aerobics and football. Library

We have an extensive geological library (both at Keyworth and Edinburgh), with a small selection of fiction books on loan.

The library at Wallingford has a wide range of publications on hydrology and hydrogeology.
